Audio & Video Intercom Systems
Multiple options available. Intercom systems are often used to supplement secure access to a facility. Rather than allowing unauthorized persons open access to a building, a posted employee can see the individual from inside the building using the closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
Biometric Scanners
Biometrics access control systems provide an extra level of protection. Some banking industries rely heavily on biometrics, including it as a part of their 2-factor authentication.
Card Reader Systems
Each access solution is unique, which is why we offer a variety of card reader systems. These include everything from HID proximity key cards to ID badges to key fobs. Each solution tailored to our customers’ needs.
Telephone Entry
As their name implies, phone entry systems use a phone line to enable communication between property owners and visitors. The newest systems often operate without a phone line and can allow you to talk to your visitor remotely too.
Video Surveillance Integration
Our access control solutions are not just stand-alone systems. They can be integrated with our video surveillance systems for added levels of security.

Cloud-Based Access Control
FAQs & Cost-Saving Benefits
Find helpful information and answers to common SafeTight Security Client questions regarding Cloud-Based Access Control Services.
1. How flexible are API integrations with your Access Control systems?
Allows for greater flexibility in operations, with easy to access web-based controls and an architecture that places an importance on API integrations. But there are also benefits to the infrastructure of your sites. The absence of server hardware means less device management and cost. It also allows for any system updates or upgrades to be done off site and rolled out and managed by the software provider via the cloud.
2. Does this also require On-Premise Key-System Site Control?
A key benefit. Removes traditional “key-system site control” and securely places your new access control system in the cloud. Everything—from a single door to the entire multi-site enterprise campus—is configured and managed from an internet-based dashboard, accessible 24/7 to anyone with appropriate authenticated credential.
3. Is SafeTight Security Access Control cost-efficient?
A remotely accessible management system makes it adept for enterprise and local business solutions. Administrators can bring new systems online from any location. Reduction of hardware plays well for large scale enterprise systems. On-premise systems require more space requirements, wiring, maintenance costs and administrative costs for upgrade and replacement. With the cloud, you can expand to meet your business needs without concern for these “on-premise” costs, as the hardware requirements are taken care of by SafeTight Security.
4. Does SafeTight Security Access Control incorporate AI?
With the continued expansion of artificial intelligence within the security space, the cloud provides a perfect environment to welcome the benefits of AI.
Traditional on-premise systems are less capable of quickly utilizing these new benefits. At any time, your on-premise system has finite computational power offered by hardware onsite. This requires the user to make a choice—either continually upgrade their system to provide the computational capacity required or miss out on new functions being released. However, due to the flexibility of its architecture, a cloud-based system continuously expands its computational power. Cloud-based systems, ensure your ability to access any new functions, features or benefits offered by artificial intelligence.
5. Is Cloud-Based Access Control cyber-secure?
Traditional IT Security managers have often feared hosting data in a third-party
location, as well as one open to the wider world. An entire industry dedicated to
securing on-premise computers and server rooms grew almost overnight. Instruction of corporate “best practices” and dedicated security personnel quickly became the norm.
However, cloud-based providers have quickly overtaken the legacy on premise
security practices with advanced cyber security. In most cases cloud cyber security meets or surpasses the effectiveness of on-premise security practice. More importantly it can often adapt to and respond to threats more quickly and efficiently.
Manufacturers with cloud-based systems have released many informative pieces
highlighting the priority they place on cybersecurity. Regular penetration testing is
conducted on these systems. The latest cybersecurity processes are used to ensure that these systems and your data remain secure.
6. How often does your Cloud-Based Access Control require upgrades?
Ensuring your on-premise, server-based access control system is up to date with the
latest systems and hardware requirements can be tedious, timely and expensive. When a system reaches obsolescence, many companies continue using the system due to the cost and operational challenges of a complete update of their access control solution.
However, a cloud-based system circumvents these challenges. The cloud system will
automatically update and upgrade the system in the background—removing the
responsibility of version control from you.
7. Are there any upfront Cloud-based Access Control installation costs?
On-premise systems may seem beneficial in the long run. However, in-person maintenance and server upgrades will be required multiple times during the lifecycle of the system.
Cloud-based Security reduces strain of less upfront costs on your business.
Traditional Security Systems typically have high initial costs for servers and software. While there is minimal hardware cost for the access readers and door controllers
themselves, the investment is largely spread over a subscription model.
8. What is a Mobile Pass?
Administrators are able to share Mobile Passes by emailing an invitation to a user. The Mobile Pass unlocks doors by skipping the Door Card Reader—communicating directly from your smartphone to the secure, authenticated cloud.
